i've posted similar entrie(s) before.

i'm eating a lot lately, and this eating a lot has led to gaining weight.  (i do not want to shame myself for i lack self-esteem, therefore i shall use my good friend rob's picture)

 

just imagine that x2 or so...

 anyhow, another attempt at getting fit, starts today.

 (i hope this time is my last of my 'fat' entries.)

a long awaited trip to the mountains is near!

We have all been to those meetings where someone wants over 100%.

How about achieving 103%? Here's a little math that might prove helpful.

What makes life 100%?

If

Then,

H A R D W O R K

K N O W L E D G E

But,

A T T I T U D E
1 20 20 9 20 21 4 5 = 100%

And,

B U L L S H I T

So, it stands to reason that hardwork and knowledge will get you close, attitude will get you there, but bullshit will put you over the top.

And look how far

Babe Ruth. He hit 714 home runs during his baseball career. But along with being the home-run king he was also the strikeout king. In one of Babe's last major league games the Braves played the Cincinnati Reds. The great Babe Ruth was no longer as agile as he had once been. His game that day was filled with costly errors and strikeouts. As the Babe walked off the field after a dismal inning, the crowd stood and booed their disapproval of his play. Just then a little boy jumped over the railing onto the playing field. With tears streaming down his face he threw his arms around the legs of his hero. Ruth didn't hesitate for a moment. He picked up the boy and gave him a hug. Suddenly the booing stopped and a hush fell over the entire ballpark. In that brief moment the baseball fans saw two heroes: Ruth, who in spite of his horrible day still cared about a little boy, and the small child, who cared about the feelings of another human being. Both had melted the hearts of the crowd.  How is your sensitivity toward other people? Do you take time to care about the needs of your friends and family? Sometimes we get so absorbed with our own personal problems we forget that there is a hurting world around us that needs our attention. 





Shackle

When a captive elephant is young, its handler will place a shackle around its leg and chain it to a tree so that it will not escape.  At this age the elephant is too small to pull the tree over.  Try as it might, the baby elephant cannot get away.  However, when the elephant is full-grown the handler can chain it to a stick in the ground and it will not escape.  The elephant still thinks itself to be chained to an unmovable tree
